Current genpet.org structure vs. proposed PIR-designed platform architecture
PIR Recommendation
The current genpet.org is a functional B2B wholesale tool, but it is operating well below its potential as a brand asset. The new architecture separates the public-facing brand site (built around Generation Pet's 28-year story and 121+ brand catalog) from the retailer portal (streamlined for ordering). Build the brand site first. It will serve as the top-of-funnel for new retailer prospects and as a platform for content marketing that has never existed on the site.
